Audio Assault was a political industrial techno-hip hop band in Dallas, Texas from 1990-92. They were one of the first acts to combine hip hop, industrial rhythms and rock guitars. Their first single “Element of Danger”, produced and mixed by MC 900 Ft. Jesus (Mark Griffin), was a regional hit, charting on KDGE radio.

Audio Assault grew out of collaborations and touring between two other acts: Lesson Seven and International Thief Thief. Audio Assault opened for Ministry, Consolidated, Revolting Cocks and Meat Beat Manifesto. 
In addition to their split EP CD with Lesson Seven and ITT in 1991, they also appeared on two compilations: KDGE’s Tales From the Edge Vol 4. (1992), and Crystal Clear Sound: 1991-1992 (1992). In 2019, eMERGENCY heARTS started to re-release the back catalog and a trove of unreleased tracks and new remixes by legendary artists and producers Adrian Sherwood, Jack Dangers (Meat Beat Manifesto), Mark Pistel (Consolidated, Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy, Hercules and Love Affair) and others to bring Aa from cassette culture into the 21st Century.

They often performed with other Texas industrial and synth acts including SPY, Nufenkorp, The Hunger, T-4-2, KBD, Post Mortem Statement.
